Scholarship opportunity

E.A.S.E: Exercise and Stepping Everyday! This scholarship provides private or group dance lessons for six weeks consecutively, one lesson a week. The recipient(s) will learn Chicago Style Steppin'. Dancing is a great way to enjoy life while learning how to communicate effectively. This scholarship is a great fit for schools, corporate events, family reunions, newlyweds, couples and individuals looking for healthy social interactions, full body exercise, a hobby, improving balance, building self-esteem, building character, energy, stress relief, and even weight loss! Recipient(s) will learn form/posture, how to count to the beat, 8 fundamental movements, musicality, hand signals, and lane control. 

Chicago Style Steppin' is a structured 8 count/3 beat partner dance. Stepping has that which can not be seen in some of the other forms of partner dancing which is it looks different depending on who is stepping. Stepping vociferates individual uniqueness. Steppin' can take on many forms from street to smooth, aggressive to graceful, and a combination of everything in between. The music is most popular with Steppers because it is music of there choice in which they can feel and really get into. Steppin' continues to evolve and includes Old School, Original, and New School styles. 

This scholarship provides a fun interactive activity for schools, families, outreach organizations, and young adults. Our Bless Beads Youth will help make hand crafted beaded accessories. This scholarship is for age groups 6 years of age and up. Recipient(s) will be awarded two youth designers that will teach each individual how to make beaded bracelet designs of their choice. All supplies will be provided. Each recipient will make at least two bracelets, one for themselves and one to give to an AWCC designated organization. This is a great artwork project, enhances fine motor skills, skill building, hand/eye coordination, encourages entrepreneurship, and promotes acts of kindness through giving.

Blessed Beads is a youth initiative project. Their hope is that all, especially their peers, will wear their hand-crafted beads and be reminded that they ARE BLESSED, UNIQUE, AND ONE OF A KIND!
